Michael d’Orlando will return to INDY NXT by Firestone for the final three races of the 2025 season in an Andretti–Cape Motorsport car, in partnership with Rising Star Racing and payments and banking solutions company Priority, starting with this weekend’s event at Portland International Raceway.
D’Orlando’s car will feature a livery promoting Rising Star Racing, Priority Commerce Technologies, Priority Plastiq and Priority Sports this Friday through Sunday at Portland, Aug. 22-24 at Milwaukee Mile and Aug. 30-31 at Nashville Superspeedway.
“We have been working hard all year to get back in the seat, and I am very excited to be back with Andretti Cape Indy NXT for the last three races of season,” d’Orlando said. “I am so thankful for everyone at RSR, Priority, Focused Project Management and Andretti Cape for pulling this together and for the opportunity to be back in Indy NXT."
New York native d’Orlando made seven starts in the INDYCAR development series in 2024, a limited schedule due to lack of funding. His best finish was fourth at St. Petersburg, and he placed in the top 10 in five of his seven starts.
“RSR is very excited to support Michael for the remainder of the 2025 season,” RSR CEO Art Wilmes said. “RSR continues to support Michael and his brother Nick.”
Said Priority CEO Tom Priore, “We’re renewing our relationship to support Michael on the perfect platform to spotlight Priority Sports, our new vertical that simplifies payments and helps teams boost revenue.”
FS1, the FOX Sports app and the INDYCAR Radio Network will broadcast both practices (4 p.m. ET Friday and 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday), qualifying (7:30 p.m. ET Saturday) and the race (1 p.m. ET Sunday) from Portland.
